What time of day do you take photos?
For outdoor sessions, I take pictures during golden hour which is roughly the last hour of daylight before sunset. The light is much softer at this time of day and is thus wonderfully helpful for photos! No harsh shadows, some fun sun flares... it's the best!
For indoor sessions, this is a bit more flexible. I prefer sometime between mid-morning to mid-afternoon to allow for ample light to come in through the windows.
what can i expect for my online gallery?
To access your online gallery, you will receive an email that will contain directions for how to access your password protected gallery. For family, maternity, newborn and branding sessions, I will carefully choose the best 40 images from our time (upgrade to full gallery to get all the best ones!) to upload into your gallery. Most of the images will be in color but a few may be in black and white. You will be able to download the images and also have the option to print your images through the online store connected to your gallery. Ordering prints is entirely optional, but recommended to increase the color consistency for what you see on the screen!
Where do you take photos?
While mini sessions are pre-determined by Bridget, other sessions I am flexible and willing to listen to your vision for the session to collaborate with you and find a location that best suits your goals! I am based in Round Rock, TX. and have a few favorite spots in the area that I recommend depending on the season/what is blooming. Some locations may require a fee for photography, and this would be a cost that you cover if we decide to use that particular location. Your home is also an option if you prefer an indoor session in your own space. There may be an increase in cost of the session depending on location of the session due to time and travel expenses.
What if I'm concerned my kiddos won't last the full hour?
I completely understand that golden hour, and a full hour, can be a tough time for little ones. Rest assured, as a mama myself I completely understand and there will be nothing but patience and understanding on my end! We'll be sure to slow down if we need to to honor the pace of your crew, and I can also be quick when I need to capture those smiles fast! While it might sound intimidating, having an hour together allows everyone to warm up and be themselves and be sure we get a variety of different images that you will treasure forever! Some tips are to come well fed, bring special snacks, and remember that it's okay to let things go during the session - and just have fun together!
For a branding session, What is a "Lifestyle headshot" and can you take photos of my team as well?
A "lifestyle headshot" will be a photo that blends together professionalism with your personality and passion. I can take photos of you as you engage in work that you typically do for your business while you are in your actual work environment to demonstrate authenticity and tell the story of your business. We can capture photos that show your personality. Your unique business and what you want to communicate to potential clients can lead the way on how we choose to capture these. And absolutely we can include lifestyle headshots for team members as well, if this applies! There is an additional charge of $100 per 1-10 people. Group photos and cohesive individual photos of an entire team is a great way to demonstrate unity for your business!
